The title "Painting Out Trinity" refers to a shot that I worked on for a class (I'm currently an Animation/VFX major at Academy of Art University). The shot was a basic greenscreen extraction and composite, but it was the first one I ever did that I was being graded for and I was a bit overwhelmed. The background plate was from "The Matrix Revolutions" and my first assignment was to paint out Trinity so I could composite in the greenscreened actress.
I couldn't figure out the best way to do it, even though it would be a basic bit of work.
As a result, I've decided that, from now on, I would approach things systematically and it would help me avoid the overwhelm-atation.
I'll post some before/afters of the shot in question, for karma's sake.
So feel free to offer me feedback when I post shots or questions - unless your mission is to make people feel bad about themselves. I'm not one of those people, so take it elsewhere. But, for the rest of you, I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Honestly. :)
